LG Unveils Spectrum: Android + 1.5GHz CPU [VIDEO]


LG Corporation has unveiled ‘Spectrum’. The Spectrum is a 10.4mm thin, 4.5-inch Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with True HD IPS Display at a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual-core Snapdragon Processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of Internal Storage. A 16GB microSD card is pre-installed bringing total storage to 20GB. Storage can be added up to 32GB which will bring total storage on the Spectrum to 36GB.

The Spectrum’s features includes an 8 MP rear-facing camera capable of shooting images at 3264×2448 with Autofocus, LED Flash, face detection, geo-tagging and image stablisation. It can also record video at 1080p in 30fps. A secondary front-facing 1.3 MP camera is also available.

Connection options include Verizon’s 4G LTE Network, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi direct (Wi-Fi without a network) and DLNA for wireless streaming. The Spectrum’s Bluetooth service is Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP and EDR. An NFC port is also included for NFC transfers.

All the phone’s features are powered by a 1830 mAh battery lasting up to 348 hours on standby and 8 hours 20 minutes of talk time. The LG Spectrum is currently available on Verizon’s 4G LTE Network at a price of $79.99 in variants of black and silver.
