Faridah Demola-Seriki, created a tech blog called “The Tech World Happenings” in September 2010 for a class. After getting a good response from followers, she decided to take it up seriously. She put together a team of five other writers who shared the same passion for technology. Thus, Technesstivity was formed.

Technesstivity, pronounced as spelt, (tech-ness-ti-vi-ty) is a made up word which means the knowledge of tech and all things related. The site promises to bring blog-style news in technology that maintains journalistic ethical standards. News provided will cover technology, social and digital media and web-culture from Nigeria and the rest of the world.

Because most of the writers are Nigerian, locations covered will be where Nigerians are mostly based i.e. the US, UK and Canada included. News will range from the latest in mobile and telecommunications to tips and entertaining content for people who aren’t as tech savvy.
