Facebook Duplicates Twitter’s iPhone App Design [PICS]
Facebook launched Facebook for iPhone 3.5 yesterday with a new interface exactly like Twitter’s iPhone app. It’s not just the status update bar that’s the same, it’s also the exact position of the add-friend, location and photo icons. Twitter’s mobile designer Brian Haggerty also noticed this and tweeted “Seriously Facebook?”.
Coincidentally, Brian Haggerty was working on mobile at LinkedIn when LinkedIn was accused of copying Facebook’s iPhone app UI. Revenge is a dish best served cold with a UI eh?
