With the smartphone market wars heating up in Nigeria due to the recent “intrusion” by Tecno mobile, another brand looks set to stage an elegant comeback. Tagged the “LG Optimus G PRO” model (sounds like a robot’s name, don’t you think?), the device is the first to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. It also features an Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB worth of RAM. These processors just keep getting better, and the phone has as much RAM as my laptop!
The device comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD display, which, if you ask me, quite qualifies it for the phablet category. It also possesses a 13MP rear camera, which while not as intimidating as this Nokia ‘s, is sure to produce some awesome pictures as well.
Perhaps the most fascinating feature of this smartphone is the QRemote, which allows users to use the phone as a remote control for home appliances like DVD, Home Theatre System, Television, AC, Projectors, etc. What’s the point if I don’t use LG appliances you say? Well what do you know, the QRemote feature can be used across all electronic brands! Mesmerized yet?
The smartphone is slated to launch in September, although its price and availability are yet to be known.
