Blackberry 10 Smartphone Details Leak
A while back, RIM told us that it would be launching a new OS dubbed the Blackberry 10 OS but what they didnt tell us was which device will run it apart from the fact that it will be full touch screen. Sources at GSM Arena have found a leaked document from RIM, which lists the specification of the company’s new smartphone which would be called Blackberry Aristo.
At the moment we don’t know how this device will look still but we know that the Aristo measures just 8.85 mm (0.35 inch) thick, and will boast significant power courtesy of a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. That’s to be matched by a hefty 2GB of RAM and in line with current screen trends, the phone will sport an OLED display. In addition to that, the device will come with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera that shoots 720p video, perfect for corporate video conferencing, making it the first BlackBerry to include this feature and an 8-megapixel main camera with LED flash on the back. NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, and micro-USB connection are also found on this device.
The phone should come with 16GB of internal storage plus a microSD card slot to add more storage capacity. Everything will be powered by a sizable but embedded 2,800 mAh battery.
On paper everything sounds very impressive but we can’t tell until consumers get a hands-on on this device. BlackBerry needs a Superphone to save itself and win back its customers who are steady moving to iOS and Android. We
hope this is it.
