E3 2012: Highlights + Podcast

The 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on the 5th to the 7th of June.  E3 2012 featured several revelations including trailers, previews and first looks at the newest products in the gaming industry. It was quite a massive event, and not every revelation was mind-blowing so here is a list of what I thought to be the most newsworthy occurrences from the expo.

Assassin’s Creed III

Yes, I’m sure you all knew this was coming so why delay? Here is the official trailer from the E3.

Halo 4

Here’s the trailer for Halo 4 from the Microsoft E3 conference. Many thanks to IGN for providing the video.

BEYOND: Two Souls

This is the new title from Team Sony. It features the Juno actress, Ellen Page.

The Last of Us

Another new title from the Sony Team. The Last of Us is developed by Naughty Dog, the same team that brought you the Drake’s Uncharted series. The game boasts of an incredible artificial intelligence engine.

FIFA 13

No intro needed.

Wii U

There were a bunch of new trailers that gave insight into Nintendo’s much anticipated Wii U. Here is one that nicely sums up what fans should expect from the device.

Xbox 360 Meets SmartGlass

SmartGlass is a tablet and smart phone app that connects with the Xbox console.  It allows you to use your device as a touch screen remote for whatever you maybe doing on your Xbox.

Thank God summer is here because I’m sure this years E3 has brought out the inner gamer in everyone. It seems gamers have a lot to look forward to but obviously the only downside is that we have had no confirmation concerning the release of the Playstation 4 or Xbox 720- although I seriously hope it won’t be called this. We also have a podcast with the guys at DancilBlog.com summing up everything and talking about their best highlights with Technesstivity Editor-in-Chief, Faridah. It’s our first podcast so listen and tell us what you think.

Did you pay attention to the E3 2012 conferences? Do you feel I missed an important revelation in this list? Please leave any comments below.
