Razer’s Gaming Tablet: Project Fiona

This year at the Consumer Electronics Show, Razer has revealed a prototype for their gaming tablet. The prototype is currently operating under the alias, Project Fiona. Razer is a well-renowned maker of gaming hardware. Last year at the CES, they revealed a prototype for the Switch Blade; a bad ass really impressive gaming laptop which will be launched officially in a few months.

Project Fiona’s tag line, “It’s a Tablet. It’s a PC.” has led me to believe that it is both a tablet AND a PC (?). Okay according to the official Razer website, the actual explanation is that: “Project Fiona Concept Tablet runs a PC environment on a powerful next generation Intel processor ready to play all of your favorite PC games. This tablet concept is running advanced applications on an ultra portable form factor, bringing hardcore PC gaming on the go.” The prototype currently runs on Windows 7.

Below is footage of Project Fiona in action:

I would buy that over an iPad 3 (provided the pricing is generous). This tablet may be the beginning of a PC gaming revolution so I would watch out for it. For more information about Project Fiona you may go to its official site here.
