Apple Unveils the iPad Mini

Apple unveiled the newest addition to the iPad family, its 7.9-inch iPad mini at its October 23rd Event. The event which was packed with new product announcements as we predicted here earlier was an exciting one.

The iPad which has a beautiful new design is as thin as a pencil at 7.2mm thick and weighs about as much as a paper note pad. The device comes with Apples A5 chip and maintains the iPads legendary 10 hour battery life.

The new mini iPad comes with a HD front-facing iSight camera which shoots 720p HD video and a rear facing 5megapixel, 1080p HD camera. It also allows ultrafast WiFi capabilities with its updated dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) 802.11n and not to mention it is LTE enabled!

The new device has available some cool accessories like Apple made Smart Cover and some lightening adapter connectors like Lightening to HDMi, Lightening to SD card or to the normal 30 pin adaptor.

The iPad mini comes in white and silver and Black with a slate back. It starts shipping on November 2 at $329 for the 16GB WiFi model. the options still go up to 32GB and 64GB for both the WiFi only and Cellular models. Video & Pictures below:

Along side the Launch, Apple took the opportunity to push forward the forth generation iPad which maintains the same form factor but features an A6 processor, LTE and a Lightening connector.
