Members of the developer forum, xda-developers, have gotten a pre-alpha version of Android 4.0 running on Amazon’s Kindle Fire. The installation is based on CyanogenMod 9 with the ROM working well at its early stage. The Ice Cream Sandwich custom ROM removes all Amazon’s customisation that was pre-installed on the Tablet. There are no Amazon apps and the user interface has been replaced. Watch the video for proof of the installation and if you wish to install Android 4.0 on your Kindle Fire, click here
