Google’s Chrome web browser is now the most popular browser in the world. Taking over from Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Google Chrome’s share of the browser market went up to 32.8% in the week ending May 20. Internet Explorer on the other hand, dropped to 31.9%. Mozilla’s Firefox retains third place in the market with 25% of the market share.
This new data was released by StatCounter, a company that analyses web stats via its embed codes across blogs and websites worldwide. Back in March, Chrome toppled Internet explorer for a day.
