For a lot of Android users and non-users there’s a bit of confusion over the default browser on the Android OS. It’s just called Browser. Google has finally introduced Chrome for Android Beta for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices only.
Chrome for Android brings features from Chrome’s desktop version. Features like the Sign-in feature and Synchronisation are available on the app. It also brings Chrome’s speed and incognito for private browsing. Of course HTML5 support isn’t missing on this one. Chrome for Android finally brings HTML5 support to the platform with hardware-accelerated canvas, HTML5 video, Indexed DB and Web Sockets.
For multiple tab lovers, you can switch between tabs like the regular Chrome for desktop or swipe with intuitive gestures. Link preview has been added so problems with clicking links on a small web page are less.
The mobile browser is currently available in a few countries and for Android 4.0 users but you can use Market Enabler or checkout this Xda-developers post to bypass the restriction.
