Nigeria’s Co-Creation Hub receives $245,000 funding from Omidyar and Indigo

Co-creation Hub, located on the 6th floor of 294 Herbert Macaulay Way, Yaba, Lagos, is a tech startup incubation service which will provide advice, training, mentorship and access to funds for about 50-60 Nigerian tech startups.

Omidyar Network and the Indigo Trust have given it a total of $245,000 in funds in order to foster development of technology-driven enterprises in Nigeria. In February this year, Omidyar gave a grant of $130,000 to Enough is Enough Nigeria and in May gave $450,000 to Sahara Reporters.

The Co-Creation hub will also be a great meeting point for technology stakeholders, programmers, social media gurus and the like to collaborate through meet-ups, hackhathons and competitions. Co-Creation Hub launches in August 2011.
