Look! Google Made Talking Shoes [VIDEOS]

From driverless cars to augmented reality glasses, Google is known for breaking technological barriers. Google just showed off shoes that talk to you at this year’s SXSW because last year’s village wasn’t enough.

The shoes connect to your phone or computer via Bluetooth and motivate or demotivate you to get up and run. Sensors within the shoe can tell when you’re sitting or you’ve sat for too long and when you’re on the move.

Here are a couple of videos of the shoe in action. Woot!

Google says it has no intentions of entering the shoe market. The shoes were created as a fun project by Google’s Art, Copy & Code initiative, with the tagline “Advertising Re-imagined”
