Apple has cut prices and improved upon the hardware of certain devices in its MacBook line.
The products affected by price cuts are the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and 13-inch MacBook Air while upgrades have been made on the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro and 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro.
The new prices are already effective on Apple’s website and in its stores.
The 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro with 128GB of storage, now costs $1,499 while its 256GB storage sibling costs $1,699. Apple has also bumped up the spec of the 256GB model, by including a 2.6GHz Intel Core i5 processor.
For the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, the price remains the same at $2,199 but Apple has bumped the processor up to a quad-core 2.4GHz Core i7. The higher end 2.7GHz Core i7 and 16GB RAM powered model, goes for $2,799.
The 13-inch MacBook Air is also getting some price reduction love. Apple now charges $1,399 for the 256GB flash storage version.
The price and specification reviews might seem like an isolated event but with the specs and design we’re seeing across laptops running Windows 8, we’re expecting even more price drops and MacBook options from Apple in the future.
