Samsung Unveils Series 7 Chronos And Series 7 Ultra Laptops Before CES 2013
Just before showcase starts at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013, Samsung has announced two new laptop lines within its Series 7 range. They are the Series 7 Chronos and the Series 7 Ultra laptops. CES officially starts on the 8th of January and ends on the 11th. Stick with us, we’ve got you covered.
Samsung Series 7 Chronos
The Series 7 Chronos laptop is a 15.6-inch full HD display PC, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The display packs a 10-point multi-touch touchscreen. Laptops in the Chronos line would be powered by 4GB or 8GB of RAM and an Intel iCore i7 processor, depending on user preference, it can even be jacked up to 16GB of RAM.
The Chronos laptops run Windows 8 and excel specially with the RAMaccelerator installed. This increases the Chronos’ speed by almost 150 percent. Samsung has also boasted 11 hours of battery life with this device.
Samsung Series 7 Ultra
The Series 7 Ultra laptops have a 13.3-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the Ultras with the touch option come with a 10-point multi-touch display. Laptops in this line can be powered by RAM of up to 16GB. Hard drive space is a little limited however as they can contain a maximum of a 256GB SSD.
Samsung boasts 4G LTE capabilities for the Ultra line, a 178 degree viewing angle for the screen and an 8-hour battery life.
It also runs Windows 8 like the Chronos line.
Both the Ultra and Chronos lines have webcams that record video up to 720p as well as a mix of USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and VGA connections.
