Will Your Device Run OS X Mountain Lion?

Apple fans all over the world are waiting for the latest release of Apple’s operating system, OS X Mountain Lion (V 10.8) sometime this month, but while you wait it is important to check and see if your device will be able to run the Operating System (OS).

According to Apple, these are the devices that will run the OS:

  • iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, Early 2009 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
  • Mac Mini (Early 2009 or newer)
  • Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
  • Xserve (early 2009)

To find out if your device is one of the above listed. Click on the Apple Logo at the top left corner of your screen and click “About This Mac” and then click “More Info”

Apple seems to be placing these restrictions as to which computers will be able to run the OS, so that the computer  will be able perform at its maximum while running the OS.

Is your device listed? If it’s not, how do you feel about it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below
