There aren’t so many options for online ordering in Nigeria, but it seems that’s about to change. Kasuwa, like Sabunta launching soon, is an online store.
But, instead of clothes and other fashion accessories like its sister site, it sells electronic goods like computers, phones, tablets and books as well. To get people to sign up, you get N1,500 in Kasuwa credit when you create an account.
The good thing is that there’s free shipping, for now, and you can pay at the door. This, I think is great because I don’t think Nigerians are comfortable putting payment information on a Nigerian website yet, so this builds the site’s credibility.
In summary, it’s a pretty good site. There are some discounts on there as well. Perhaps the only negative thing I can think of is hardcore Nigerians can’t ‘price’ these items, and what the price says is what it is. But, at least it saves you that trip to Computer Village.
What do you think? Can such a site flourish in Nigeria, or would you buy from them? Let us know in the comments
