Samsung Isreal Says Galaxy S II To Get Ice Cream Sandwich On March 15

According to Samsung Mobile Israeli’s Facebook Page (the post has since been deleted), Samsung Galaxy S II owners should expect an upgrade to  Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by March 15th. The post said Android 4.0 will begin a roll out to Carrier-locked and unlocked phones on that date. Here’s what the Facebook post read

“We promised we were working on it. You waited patiently. And on 15 March it’ll arrive: Android version 4, ICS, to tens of thousands of GALAXY S II devices purchased from cellular companies in the country or directly from us. We are very excited for the launch, hope you are too,”

If you can’t wait, hackers already ported Ice Cream Sandwich to the Galaxy S II a short while after it was released.
