T-Mobile Is Bringing Nokia’s Lumia 710 To The US

Nokia has announced that its entry-level Windows Phone – the Lumia 710 will available on January 11th 2012 via T-Mobile in the US. The phone will cost $49.99 on a contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The Windows Phone 7.5 Mango device is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen. The phone packs a 5MP rear camera with auto-focus and an LED flash. Read our full description of the Lumia 710 here.

It’s important to note that the Lumia 710 isn’t Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone. The flagship phone is the Lumia 800 which is already available in the UK and should get to the US in 2012.

At the price of $49.99 this is quite cheap for a phone running a 1.4GHz CPU. Nokia and Microsoft are looking to increase their marketshare of the mobile phone market. Microsoft has seen its share of the Market rise recently since the Windows 7 Phones launched. Nokia on the other hand, is gaining share in Europe and suffering in the US.

Will you get this phone at $50? Please leave a comment.
