Huawei showed off its latest smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2013, the Huawei Ascend P2. The device looks very nice, thin and light in the hand.

The Ascend P2 with its 4.7-inch, 1280 x 720 resolution “infinity edge” display is 8.4mm-thin and is running heavily skinned version of Android 4.1.2 called “Emotion UI.” A 1.5GHz clocked quad-core processor powers the device and Huawei is calling it “the world’s fastest smartphone.”

It sports a 13-Megapixel camera on the back and 1.2-megapixel on the front and will come with 16GB of storage and 1GB of RAM.

Huawei shipped 32 million phones in 2012, and is clearly after a bigger slice of the market in 2013 with the Ascend P2, which will be available globally, from mid 2013.
