RIM To Host BlackBerry 10 Mini Jam Next Week

UPDATE: Due to the high demand for tickets to this event, registration for the BlackBerry 10 Mini Jam has closed.

RIM has announced that it will host a BlackBerry 10 Mini Jam, a full day event dedicated to providing the developer community with insights on the BlackBerry 10 platform and how developers can make apps that stand out.

Attendees will gain insight on building applications for the launch of the new BlackBerry 10 platform. Beginner and master mobile application developers will be able to attend in-depth breakout sessions focused on Native C/C++ development for the BlackBerry 10 platform.

Topics on the agenda include BlackBerry 10 Architecture Overview, Cascades Fundamentals & BlackBerry 10 Cascades Samples and Start to Finish: Developing a BlackBerry 10 Application using the BlackBerry 10 NDK.

There will be breaks and refreshments in between the sessions. To register for the mini jam, click here. Registrations are on a first come, first served basis. The event will hold on Tuesday, 14th of August at Co-creation Hub, 6th Floor, 294 Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.

RIM unveiled the BlackBerry 10 OS in May this year and has also announced the OS won’t be available till the first quarter of 2013. BlackBerry 10 is built on acquired company QNX’s platform and supports C/C++ and HTML5 technologies.

Analysts are hoping that the new OS will increase RIM’s subscriber base and improve its revenues.
