Last week, Google updated its maps service by adding live transit updates. Now, when you search for transit directions on Google Maps for both mobile and desktop, there is a new “live departure time” feature which tells you if your bus or train is running on time or late. For now, it is only available in a few cities which include Boston, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Madrid and Turin. This is a great addtion to Google Maps’ already robust feature set, and I am looking forward to its worldwide rollout.
