Samsung Ativ S Is The First Windows Phone 8 Smartphone[PHOTOS]

Samsung has announced the Ativ S at its unpacked event at the IFA 2012, making it the first company to announce a Windows Phone 8 device. At 8.7mm thin, the Ativ S sports a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display(protected by Gorilla Glass) and runs on a 1.5GHz
dual-core processor, with 1GB of RAM and an 8-megapixel rear camera. Video calling is supported with a 1.9-megapixel front-
facing camera.

Storage on the Ativ S comes with two options of 16GB and 32GB while extra storage can be added via a microSD slot. Power is provided by a 2300mAh battery.

We don’t know what Windows Phone 8 holds for us as Microsoft hasn’t released details of the OS. We also don’t know the price range of the Ativ S. We’ll keep you informed as more details are released.
