Amazon Targets Apple’s iPad in Kindle Commercial

It seems ad agencies are starting to catch on attacking Apple in commercials these days. As if the Samsung-Apple ads weren’t amusing enough, Amazon has decided to go at it too in a new commercial for their Kindle products.

The ad shows the man (iPad user) trying to shield his device from the sun when he notices the woman using the Kindle Touch. “Best way to read, even in sunlight,” she says.

He tries to defend his iPad by saying he can watch movies and surf the web when she points to her two children using the Kindle Fires.

“Three Kindles… That’s gotta be expensive,” he says but she points out to him that they’re all still less than his iPad. Nice shot, because two Kindle Fires and a Kindle Touch cost $497 whereby an iPad costs $499.

However, the iPad does have way more going on than the Kindle Fire so it’s worth the higher price tag. With the iPad 3 speculated to be out in March, we wonder if Apple will put out a few jabs of their own. Check out the commercial below. Are you Team Amazon or Team Apple?
