Njorku has announced that it has launched its job search engine in Uganda and Egypt. Njorku is a service that crawls the internet for job based keywords in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya and Cameroon. Njorku has also tweaked its algorithm to make searches display more relevant results.

In addition to a new algorithm, the job-search service now allows users share results via email, Facebook and Twitter. So if you see something your friend(s) might be interested in, hit the share button at the bottom of the result.

Njorku’s founder Mambe Nanje told Techloy

“We achieved this by deploying the crawler, indexers and search machines on various servers and developing a parallel distributed platform…it now can handle more than 30 countries simultaneously without strain”.

Nigerian tech is hitting Africa first and then… world domination! :D
