Etisalat Nigeria has opened up pre-orders for the new BlackBerry Z10. This comes right on the heels of MTN allowing pre-orders for the smartphone. The Etisalat website doesn’t state how much the Z10 would cost, but MTN puts it at N100,000 – cheaper than we expected. Etisalat Reduces Price Of Gaga Smartphone

In October last year, Etisalat launched their Gaga smartphone, an affordable 3G Android 2.2 smartphone with features such as a 3.2 megapixel including WiFi and Bluetooth services as well as FM radio and GPS navigation. Latest statistics from the Nigerian Communications Commision(NCC) show that Nigeria has crossed the 100 million mark in number of active phone lines. Mobile Telcos MTN, Glo, Airtel and Etisalat had 94,273,460 mobile phone lines by the end of Q1 2012. CDMA networks on the other hand split the remainder of the 4,871,553 fixed lines. Etisalat Group won three GSM Association (GSMA) Global Mobile Awards atlast week’s Mobile World Congress. Etisalat Mobile Baby won two awards in the Best Health Innovation and mWomen Best Mobile Product categories while Etisalat Commerce won the Best Mobile Money Innovation award. Etisalat Introduces New BlackBerry Plans

Etisalat Nigeria recently introduced affordable BlackBerry plans namely, BlackBerry Complete and BlackBerry Social.  They both come as a relief from the regular BlackBerry Internet Service, usually ₦3,000. BlackBerry Complete offers users the following features: web browsing, one “web-based” email account, access to social networks (Facebook and Twitter), Instant Messaging on Yahoo! Messenger, Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and of course, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM).
