It’s Twitter’s 6th Birthday: Here’s The Bible Verse That Predicted It

It’s been 6 years since @Jack launched Twitter and posted the first tweet. Here’s a bible verse from the book of Psalms that might have predicted the service. Its from Psalm 102:7

What hit me there is the word “Insomniac”. I’ve got a load of friends who can’t sleep due to the addictiveness of the service. You know, wanting to keep up with what’s going on everywhere.

Twitter has come a long way from that first tweet. They’ve now got over 200 million users posting an average of 250 million tweets daily. The team has also increased to over 900 employees. Up from 400 last year.

By the way, here’s the very first tweet. It was called twttr back then
