Casual Gaming startup, Maliyo Games has finally begun moving its titles to mobile phones. Its first mobile entrant is “Okada Ride”. In Okada Ride, you’re required to get to your office quickly by passing a shortcut. There are numerous obstacles such as pedestrians, hawkers, road barriers and law enforcement agents in your way. Try to get to your destination as quickly as possible and without hitting the obstacles in your path.
The Okada Ride story isn’t too far from Pledge51′s Danfo and more recently, Danfo Reloaded.
This year, we’re seeing more gaming startups out of Nigeria like we’ve never seen before. They’re not making games for your PlayStation or XBox, they’re making simple games you can easily pick up and understand. Another gaming startup worth noting is Kuluya Games.
Maliyo also has plans to move some of its games to Facebook’s platform so they can be more social and in the hope that it would increase the number of games played.
Okada Ride is available for free via Nokia’s Ovi Store.
