South Africa’s Snapplify Is An E-Publishing App For iPads[VIDEO]

Snapplify, a new iPad app from South Africa that allows digital content publishers to easily launch publications specifically tailored for the iPad. The App is available for download on the App Store for free. Publishers can then decide on the price of publications per download or pay between 20 – 30 cents per user download based on their choice of subscription.

Snapplify transforms PDFs into mobile apps instantly. Like iTextbooks, Snapplify allows publishers embed a range of media content including Google Maps. Daily Maverick’s iMaverick is already using Snapplify for its iPad newspaper.

The app is available in 3-tier subscriptions. The free subscription allows a maximum of 10 documents and 100 downloads. The Free version lacks in-app purchasing. The Professional subscription allows an unlimited number of documents and downloads, allows in-app purchasing and the publisher gets 30percent of revenue. The Enterprise subscription service costs $1250 per month, allows an unlimited number of downloads and documents. All downloads on the Enterprise service are free.
