Nokia Unveils 808 PureView With a 41 Megapixel Camera [PHOTOS + VIDEOS]

Nokia unveiled its newest phone the 808 Pureview at Mobile World Congress. We’ll get to the camera in a bit. The 4-inch 360×460 pixel touchscreen phone is powered by a 1.3GHz single core CPU, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Up to 48GB of external storage can be added via a microSD card.

Now the camera, Nokia has packed the 808 PureView with a 41 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera. It’s Xenon Flash operates at a range of 3.5m depending on conditions. There’s also an LED flash for video recording. The camera also features three shooting modes and face detection software. Geotagging of images and videos is supported, editing can be done with the inbuilt photo editor and images can be saved as JPEG or EXIF.

On the connectivity side, the 808 Pureview can connect to GSM, EDGE and WCDMA networks as well as Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI, DLNA, USB 2.0, USB On-the-go, a standard 3.5mm audio out, NFC, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and FM Radio.

Nokia is bringing Symbian back with this device, it runs on Nokia’s Symbian Belle with an HTML 5 browser. Flash Lite 4.0 is installed for Flash programs. Other apps include the usual Gallery, Nokia Store, Maps, Web TV, Document Viewers and Mail.

The Nokia 808 Pureview will soon be launched across Europe at a price of 450 Euros which is about $600. What do you think about that camera? Please leave us a comment.
