iPhone 4S: Siri Not Fully Functional For UK Owners

Sorry British iPhone 4S owners, Siri doesn’t know much about your zone. According to Tech Digest, a few features are missing from it for those in the UK.

After a hands-on with the device, they realized you can’t really use Siri for navigation requests; you’d have to map out routes yourself unlike in the US where it does that for you.

Also, if you want to find local business such as the nearest pizza place, you’d have to do that manually. Apparently, Apple couldn’t get a partner in the UK to handle the look-up of local businesses. They got that in the US with Yelp as their search partner.

This means you’d have to hit that Google Maps icon to get these services if you have a 4S.

Hopefully Apple will release an update sorting this out because I understand how this can be a downer.
