The wait is finally over for Mac users. The long awaited OS X 10.7 Lion operating system is now available for download on the Mac App Store. The OS costs $29.99 on the App store and can be run on up to five machines sharing the same Apple ID, which is quite fair in comparison to new Windows OS’s.

The download is 4GB, so be patient as the download may take a while. It will be available on a USB flash drive in August or you can go into an Apple Store and use in-store Wi-Fi to download the OS.

The minimum specs to get Lion is a Mac with Core 2 Duo, Core i series, or Xeon processor and 2GB of RAM. Are you going to download OS X Lion? If you have, how do you like it so far? Let us know in the comments box below.
