Most Students Don’t Know About QR Codes [INFOGRAPHIC]

The other day, I was talking to my roommate and we came across a QR code. I jokingly asked her if she knew what it even was and she sincerely said no. I was in so much shock! I asked her numerous times if she was serious until I was convinced she was telling the truth. A quick load of my ScanLife app, I explained to her what they were and scanned the one we saw, she was amazed, but that didn’t make her download the app and scan every single one she came across. (Not like that’s what I did at first or anything)

After some research, I found a study done by youth marketing company, Archrival. They interviewed about 500 students in 24 universities across the US, only 20% of them were able to successfully scan the QR code. I’m actually shocked because I thought it was something at least over 50% of students would be familiar with. I mean it’s only 500 students in 24 universities but it’s still below my expectations. I’m probably more of a nerd than I thought. Below is the infographic showing all that they found. Do you know about QR codes? Or are you in the dark about them? Let us know in the comments.
