Pliris1 is the First Android Phone Made for Nigeria [SPECS]

We saw the launch of  the INYE Tablet a while ago, and then the launch of the INYE 2. INYE is Nigeria’s first Android tablet, and the Pliris1 by Nimbleturf is the first Android Phone made for the Nigerian market. It runs on Android 2.2[Froyo], and is equipped with a 3.2  inch touchscreen and a 3.2MP Camera.

Here are the full specs:

OS: Google’s Android 2.2 Froyo

Memory: Comes with an 8GB Card, Expandable to 32GB

SIM support: Dual Sim

Camera: 3.2MP

Charging Ports: Dual Charging ports – Nokia and USB

Battery Life: 8 hours. Ships with an extra battery

GPS: Included with AGPS support

Other Connectivity options: Bluetooth, WiFi & EDGE

FM Radio: Included

The Pliris1 is available for Pre-Order via their facebook page at N39,000 or other Pre-Order options at N45,000. Instant pick-up from the Nimbleturf office costs N55,000. All packages also come with One Year 25GB Google Email for business valued at N10,000.

I think the price is really good for an Android phone, It’s definitely a low-end phone looking at the camera quality. They’ve definitely done a lot of work on making the phone usable looking at the multiple connections it supports.

How do you think this phone will fare in the Nigerian market compared to other Android phones? Please leave a comment.
