Apple Finally Gives Nigerians Face: Appoints 4 Resellers

Businessday Nigeria reports that Apple has appointed four resellers across Nigeria. The resellers are iConnect, Meed Networks, Orchard and Cross-Energy Supply. iConnect and Orchard are based in Lagos, while the other two are abuja-based. The appointment was made via South Africa’s Core Group Africa.

We can finally be happy that Apple has decided to give us side-eye. However, there’s more to this deal. Core Africa for a long while, has been the sole official distributor across Africa. Core Africa is the reason the iPhone in South Africa is the most expensive in the world. On the upside, this means there are four places across Nigeria where you can be sure that your Apple product will be treated with care. Assuming you don’t like computer village boys.

You also get the usual two years warranty that every Apple user[buying stuff from the Apple Store] across the world enjoys. We’re also hoping this means Apps that are not available in Nigera will become available as Apple can work with telecom operators and resellers to make that happen.

Apple users, what do you think about this? Please leave us a comment.
