Nigeria’s Fusion Media Launches Video Streaming Service In Beta

Fusion Media is the Nigerian company behind the YouTube mini-series ‘The O Twins’. Fusion has officially launched its video streaming website at Fusionme.tv. The website is running on Beta and currently contains videos from their interview series ‘Tariere’ and videos from ‘The O Twins’. Fusion has also added videos from Wizkid’s album launch and the Music meets Runway event held last week.

Fusionme.tv has till date, gotten over 60,000 views on its videos and hopes to add more content and bring ‘The O Twins’ as an exclusive web series. Fusion Media’s CEO Michael Akindele told Techloy “In the first 24 hours after launch, there were over 10,000 video plays by audiences in the United States, United Kingdom, across Africa, Canada and the rest of the World.”

I’ve been waiting for this for a while now. DSTV is constantly slacking and not updating us with new content. It is time for a video streaming service to rival them with costs and better content.

What do you think about this idea? Can it run? Is this our Netflix?
