PayPal Now Available To Nigeria

In a statement released today, PayPal has announced that residents of Nigeria can now open accounts and perform transactions online. Nigerians will be able to pay on websites that accept PayPal but cannot initiate transfers or accept payments. eBay buys Braintree for $800 Million

E-commerce giant, eBay announced its Internet and mobile payments arm, PayPal will acquire Braintree for $800 million in cash. This is part of PayPal’s push to dominate the mobile payments market which has seen an influx of competitors from the likes of Visa, MasterCard, Stripe and Dwolla. The increasing ubiquity of smartphones and tablets is helping drive the demand for payments on mobile. Paypal acquires Mobile Payments firm card.io

Paypal has acquired mobile payments startup, card.io. The firm has been developing technology that captures credit card details with your smartphone camera. PayPal Sues Google Over New Google Wallet
