Acer Targets Amazon And Google With $99 Iconia B1 Tablet

Taiwanese manufacturer, Acer, has unveiled a low cost Android tablet at CES 2013. The Iconia B1 is an Android 4.1 7-inch tablet with a screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1.2Ghz dual-core MediaTex processor, 512MB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Acer will begin selling the Iconia B1 for $99 in Asian markets this month and can cost up to $149 in other markets. At $149 the Iconia B1 will one of the most affordable tablets on the market.
We’ve seen a lot of competition within low-priced tablets at CES 2013 as Alcatel also launched its One Touch Tab and One Touch Evo ranges.
