Samsung Galaxy S III Unveiled: Specs, Photos And Videos
Samsung has finally unveiled the Galaxy S III at its unpacked event in London. At 8.6mm thin, the Galaxy S III runs Android 4.0 and packs a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display powered by a quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos Proessor, 1GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage and a 2100 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S III sports an 8 megapixel rear camera capable of taking 20 shots in a second and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera. Connection options include Blutetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and NFC.
Samsung has spiced the original Android flavour a bit by retaining its TouchWiz interface. S Voice Samsungs Siri alternative is also included in the package. They claim its better than Siri. Samsung also included S-Beam: an NFC and WiFi connection option that lets you share a 10MB file in 10 seconds.
Theres a catch for Dropbox users. You get up to 50GB extra storage when you upgrade to a Galaxy S III. Also Flipboards Android app is launching on the S III first before it gets to other Android devices.
The device comes in options of Marble White and Pebble Blue will launch in 145 countries in partnership with 296 wireless carriers. The 3G HSPA+ version will in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East in May and a 4G version is expected to launch United States, Japan, and Korea in the summer of this year.
