my dad is buyine me a costly phone with such great features like the samsung galaxy note for the first time. previously i had a china phone hehe. so i am not much aware of the softwares upgrade and all. i really like samsung galaxy note but what makes me sad is that it has gingerbread and not icecream sandwich software that is in galaxy nexus but i read that some devices like the samsung galaxy note will receive an update of icecream sandwich.
so my query is – will it receive an update in the same phone that i am buying …i mean is that even possible…if yes then when and does it cost extra? and from where and how will i get the new update version in my samsung galxy note? and when will the update come to india?
or are they going to launch a new version of samsung galaxy note with iceceream sandwich softtware in it? please help me ans make me understand.
Yes. Samsung’s Galaxy Note will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich as an over the air update. It’ll work just like the upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread. Users will be asked to upgrade via their network or carriers
So how are you supposed to update a Galaxy Tab 7+ if you have the WiFi version only?
Samsung is going to push an Over The Air update of Ice Cream Sandwich when it’s ready
