Photo editing service, Picnik is closing down on April 19, 2012. The service joined Google in 2010 but instead of completely shutting down its services, would be moving them to Google+ to focus on even awesomer things.
Fear not though, they added a service called Picnik Takeout which would enable you to download all your photos from the site to your desktop in a zip folder or to Google+ which would give you the option to share them as well. In addition, if you had a premium account, theyre giving you a refund regardless of how long into your subscription you are. Theyre giving the entire $24.95 back as a way to say thank you.
The greater news though, is Picnik Premium is now free to all now thats awesome.
Most of the Picnik effects will be available in Google+, some already are.
