Acer has finally unveiled the Acer Iconia Tab A700 at CES 2012. The device sports a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, a 1920 x 1200 resolution display, although the amount of RAM was not stated, it will run on Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0. The new slate also comes with Bluetooth support, an HDMI port and a MicroSD card slot.

The Iconia Tab A700 is surprising light and is 9.8mm thick. On the software side, it comes with Acer Ring which is part of Acer’s software customisations. The Acer Ring is a circular launcher menu on the lock screen that allows you launch specific apps. It also comes preloaded with a 720p video which shows you the processor is more than capable to handle such load. In general the device looks great and is expected to ship in the second quarter of this year.
