Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales tweeted earlier today that Wikipedia will protest the US Stop Online Piracy Act about to be passed by going dark. On Wednesday January 18, Wikipedia visitors will be greeted with a message explaining SOPA and its protest against the bill. Wikipedia joins a host of websites going dark on Wednesday.
